Vinum 2014 in Alba

Springtime in Alba starts with Vinum – the event dedicated to new vintages of Langhe and Roero wines like Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto, Langhe Nebbiolo, Alta Langa, Moscato d’Asti that takes place every year at the end of April and at the beginning of May (this time April 25th – May 4th). It’s time when narrow streets of old town fill with tourists and townspeople walking with a glass of wine and main squares transform into islands of wine and local food specialties tastings.

Furthermore, in this period Alba offers numerous events which help to discover the territory, activities dedicated to kids and new ideas to diversify the program of the festival even more. This year, for example, everybody could take flavor of the Langhe area at home. How come? Acqua di Alba it’s special perfume that recalls scents of this land: toasted hazelnuts, white truffle, wood of barriques blended with flowers, fruits and spices. Acqua di Alba it’s l’eau de parfum that enwraps you for a long time and it’s available in two different essences: Acqua di Alba Riserva and Acqua di Alba Arte.

Moreover this year Alba hosted fashion show organized under the sky by the owners of boutiques located in the downtown. Sunday, May 4th, kids, teenagers, adults presented the collection of spring/summer 2014 – both clothes and accessories like bags, sunglasses, hats.

Vinum already belongs to the past but some more events are still behind us. And wines… well, regional wine shops, wineries are always open and winemakers of the Langhe and Roero are willing to tell you about their wine, their history and techniques implemented in wine production.
